Fireworks Safety Guide

Do

Buy only genuine, fresh fireworks from licensed shops.
Light crackers in open spaces, away from vehicles and buildings.
Keep two buckets of water and sand ready nearby.
Wear cotton clothes and close-toed footwear.
Light one cracker at a time, using an agarbatti at arm's length.
Store crackers in a closed box, away from any flame source.

Don’t

Never let children burst crackers unsupervised.
Never hold a lit cracker in your hand.
Never relight a failed cracker — douse it in water.
Never burst crackers indoors, on terraces or near cylinders.
Never keep crackers in your pocket.
Never use glass or metal containers to fire crackers.
